Pure, simple and a little bit twisted. Inspired by romance and a twist of fate, Twisted Hills sparkling apple cider is expertly crafted in Cawston, with their very own organic apples. From orchard to glass, all of their ciders are uniquely blended with a variety of French and English cider apples. Scenically located just off the highway, visit their tasting room and picnic area for a cold, refreshing glass of cider.
Established in 2012 in Cawston, the heart of Similkameen Wine Country, Twisted Hills Craft Cider is the first stand-alone cidery in the Similkameen Valley.
We are unique in that we grow organic apple varieties specifically for the use of cider. We believe that the quality of cider will never surpass the quality of the apples used to make it. The varieties that we grow include a number of cider-specific varieties which are higher in tannin and acidity which enables us to produce a very diverse and well-balanced array of organic ciders.
Jo Schneider a fifth-generation orchardist grew up in Cawston and Kaylan Madeira a first-generation Canadian grew up in Oliver. Both grew up on the family farm and in 2008 they planted their own acreage in cider-specific apple varieties, dessert apples, pears and a few cherries.
In the Fall of 2017, Jo and Kaylan purchased an additional 5 acres on top of their 7-acre orchard which is the new home of their tasting room dubbed the “CiderDome.”
Practicing Organic methods of farming and cidermaking we are the first cidery in BC to have a full lineup of Certified Organic ciders made with Organic Estate Grown Cider Apples.
