Whether you’re near or far, supporting local businesses in Osoyoos is easy. Destination Osoyoos has compiled a great list of ways to support local in Osoyoos to help you shop, eat, and drink locally this season. If you don’t live in or around the South Okanagan, you can contact many of our local businesses to order products and services, or purchase a gift card to be used on your next visit. Be sure to check out our list of What’s Open in Osoyoos.
Here are just a few ways that you can support local this season:
1. Buy baked goods
Save yourself the mess that comes with mixing. Osoyoos has some amazing bakeries in town offering sweet treats. Fresh bread, pain au chocolat, macarons, cookies, and cinnamon buns are just a few special sweets that you can find this season.
2. Treat someone (or yourself) to a much needed spa day
Osoyoos is known as a destination for relaxation, so let the stresses of the winter season melt away at one of our local spas or salons. If you live locally, treat yourself or your loved one to some much needed pampering. Many of our local spas also offer gift cards online so that you can plan ahead for future travel.
3. Eat Like a Local
Many of our local restaurants and cafes are offering modified dine-in services in addition to takeout and delivery options. If you don’t live locally, you can order a gift card for a loved one (or yourself!) to use on your next Osoyoos vacation.
4. Shop Main Street
Osoyoos is full of locally owned shops and boutiques, perfect for staying and shopping local. Be sure to check out our list of shops here and don’t forget to take a stroll down Main Street to see the beautiful light displays this winter.
5. Send a bouquet
Brighten someone’s day with a special floral arrangement from one of our local flower shops! Our florists offer contactless ordering and delivery within the South Okanagan – making this the perfect surprise for someone living in Osoyoos or Oliver!
And of course you can always stop in to the Osoyoos Visitor Centre and see what’s in store! The Boutique @ the Osoyoos Visitor’s Centre carries lots of seasonal items, gift ideas, jewellery, and more from a number of local and regional artists, makers, and businesses. Shop in person, or visit shoposoyoos.com, and shop online for pick up and local delivery.
